Origin
Whole fresh green pepper from India
variety of flavors
The pepper has a mild and fresh aroma of peppermint and a light fruitiness. Thekkady Vert has a slight spiciness. This makes Thekkady Vert go well with lamb, poultry, fish, light sauces, pates, Asian vegetables and fruits and rounds off salads.
The fresh taste of South India
The pepper is "single origin". This means that the harvest comes from the same growing region. This green pepper is natural. It is also dried in ovens at very high temperatures and then sorted by hand.
Thekkady Vert comes from the south-west Indian region of Kerala. In the Periyar National Park, old pepper varieties that are threatened with extinction are nurtured and hand-picked by locals as part of a sustainable, ecological farming method. These old varieties have a much higher proportion of essential oils than the new hybrid pepper.
The pepper is stored in a violet glass jar, which guarantees that it is always stored dry and dark.
